The case pertains to Lagma village under Chautham police station area of Khagaria district. The deceased child has been identified as Indrajeet Kumar, 6-month-old son of Pankaj Kumar Singh. Some people were seen running away from the house in the dark of night. When they were chased, all ran into the forest. When he went inside the house, he saw that the child had been strangled to death.
There was a fight in the procession
In relation to the incident, the family members say that on June 18, the girl was married at their place. On that day, some boys of the village beat up the procession and broke the glasses of the vehicles that came in the procession. Apart from this, vehicles were also damaged. After the marriage was over, many people of the village society were gathered on this matter in the Galwar evening, in which compensation was asked for the damage done. Along with this, the boys involved in sabotage were also reprimanded. Those boys were exasperated to be reprimanded in front of the society in this way. In this anger, they entered the house at night and strangled the child to death.
Police engaged in investigation
The relatives immediately informed the police of Chautham police station about the incident. As soon as the incident was reported, the local police reached the spot and got involved in the investigation. After legal process, the process of sending the dead body to postmortem is being done. Police say that the matter is being investigated. Police will arrest those accused very soon.
